The UNGC is encouraging SMEs to begin their journey towards sustainability at the Action Centre for Sustainable SMEs (ACCESS) which aims to equip SMEs with the necessary tools to become sustainable.

UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei and SME Corp. Malaysia is now offering a dedicated sustainable SME development program. This is a 5 month in-depth development program covering digital dashboard, ESG assessment, e-learning, workshops and coaching sessions to improve sustainability performance of SMEs and vendors. It is also supported with a RM7,000 grant.

DoctorOnCall Collaborates With PERDIM To Bridge Healthcare Providers and Patients Digitally
Malaysia’s first and largest digital health platform, Health Digital Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (DoctorOnCall), has inked a strategic partnership with Pertubuhan Doktor–Doktor Islam Malaysia (PERDIM), an organisation that manages general practitioners in the provision of primary care in Malaysia.
The partnership is aimed at providing PERDIM members with access to list their services on the DoctorOnCall platform, connecting them with potential patients seamlessly to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and patients.

CIMB’s MicroBiz Ready 5th Cohort Empowers 55 Women Entrepreneurs
CIMB Bank Berhad and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (collectively “CIMB” or “the Bank”) reinforce their commitment to supporting small and medium enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs within the B40 group through CIMB MicroBiz Ready programme.
The fifth cohort saw a participation of 55 women entrepreneurs who successfully completed and graduated from the programme. In collaboration with Taylor’s Community, alongside programme partners EasyStore and MesinKira, the year-long programme serves as an avenue to help micro-SMEs future-proof their businesses through coaching and mentoring sessions focusing on core success skills including financing, leveraging digitalisation, business strategy as well as emotional wellbeing.

Funding Societies Expands Financing Offerings for MSMEs Via Islamic FinTech (iFinTech) Facilities\
Funding Societies has introduced its Shariah-compliant trade financing solutions based on Commodity Murabahah (Tawarruq) for creditworthy and underserved Malaysian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) seeking to grow their business or expand their working capital as the country reopens its economic sectors and transitions to an endemic phase.
Increasingly MSMEs recognise the importance of utilizing FinTech and Islamic FinTech (iFintech) to gain access to capital to ensure continuous operationalization and expansion of their business activities.

Pantas Software Commits To Achieve Net-Zero Emissions Across Value Chain By 2033
Pantas Software has committed to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) to reach net-zero emissions across its value chain by 2033.
The SBTi is a global body driven by organisations such as CDP, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to mobilise companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and to achieve net-zero emissions before 2050.
As of today, there are only 14 companies in Malaysia that have committed to the SBTi, and Pantas is the first software company to commit and get its targets validated.
