Arus Oil and Cult Creative Crowned As Winners From The 1337 Ventures Alpha Startup Digital Accelerator 2021
Hello subscribers! Welcome to another issue of Head’s Up. Two winners have been selected from The 1337 Ventures Alpha Startup Digital Accelerator 2021! Some exciting reveals from this cohort but I will let you have a read on the exciting talented winners and what innovative changes they are bringing to the table.

The Alpha Startups Digital Accelerator (ASDA) 2021 Cohort 36 came to an end with a Demo Day live two weeks ago.
11 teams pitched to experienced judges and potential investors that included the likes of Bikesh Lakhmichand, Founding Partner of 1337 Ventures; Yvonne Yong Chuan Yin, Head of Malaysia Digital Hubs and Corporate Innovation of MDEC; Ikhwan Nazri, CEO & Head of Creative of Amanz Media and Syed Haizam Jamalullail, Managing Director of Tuas Capital Partners.
The cohort also saw an increase in female founders by 50 percent from last year’s intake and 50 percent of the cohort were working on their startups full time from ideas borne out of the Movement Control Order.
Chosen for their great ideas, strong founders and sound growth strategies, the two winning teams were Arus Oil and Cult Creative.
Arus Oil (MyProtech Sdn Bhd) is a used cooking oil recycling platform that offers the best purchasing rates and timely collection services for used cooking oil from individuals, households or restaurants.
Meanwhile, Cult Creative is an all-in-one professional networking and resource app for ambitious creative individuals to easily connect, upskill and find work opportunities, to make themselves future-proof.

She would also like to congratulate the winners and participants.
Fellow judge Haizam Jamalullail, the Managing Director of Tuas Capital Partners has also shown interest in the finalist startups and has expressed the possibility of investing and partnering with some as well.
The 11 teams that made it to the finals were Altum, Cult Creative, EjenKita, GoGerak, Hawkr, Arus Oil, OtoFacts, SparkFit, Supageneous.Asia, TrinityEco, and Usku Technologies.
“At 1337 Ventures, we’re always looking for aspiring entrepreneurs. Currently, we’re looking for Fintech & Insurtech enthusiasts, for our upcoming Pre-Accelerator programme, registration begins in July & the cohort will begin in October 2021” said Bikesh, Founding Partner of 1337 Ventures.
